"Mom? Dad? Can I speak with you for a moment?"
Dawn entered the room as her parents looked up from their paper work suspiciously. The lack of trust in her family was rather depressing... Her mother nodded and motioned for her to take a seat. "What is it Reya?"
She sat down on the seat, keeping her jacket on to hide her injuries... and lack of shirt. "I figured that you might want to know what happened on our trip to the docks."
Kurt nodded. "Yes. Demon has already told us that Yin's capture was simple enough, but that there was an ambush when you wandered off."
"You could... say that." She unzipped her hoodie and took it off, revealing her bandaged shoulder to her parents. Their eyes filled with worry.
Her mother walked towards her and hugged her tightly. "Goodness child... who saved you?"
"Um..." Dawn turned away from her parents and towards the door. "Shadow... would you please come in now?"
The expression on their faces was priceless.
